Back in the ye olden days of June 2011, we got to talk to one Chris Cason at HAMACON 2. Who is this mysterious Chris Cason, you ask? Why he’s a voice actor and ADR Director for Funimation Entertainment. He’s done several roles for Funimation, such as Gluttony in Full Metal Alchemist, Mr. Popo in Dragon Ball Kai, and Holy Roman Empire in Hetalia: Axis Powers, among others. He’s also done ADR work on such series as School Rumble, Birdy the Mighty: Decode, and YuYu Hakusho. It’s good times. But don’t take our word for it! Have a listen.

Micah Solusod

Back in June at HamaCon here in Huntsville, AL we got the chance to talk to one of Funimation’s freshest talents, Micah Solusod! He’s probably best known for his work as Soul Eater Evans in Soul Eater. However he has already been in several roles, including stuff from Birdy the Mighty Decode, Big Windup!, and Corpse Princess. He recently has reopened his website which you should totally check out.

Protip: When conducting podcast interviews, do not record them right beside air conditioning units. This is very important!

It’s a veritable two for one interview bonanza here on the OSMcast as we interview not one, but two awesome voice actors at once while we were hanging out at this year’s MTAC. Travis is probbaly best known for his work as Roy Mustang from Fullmetal Alchemist: (Nazi-verse as well as the superior Brotherhood persuasion) and Guile from Street Fighter IV. Not be out done, Laura played the role of Lust in the Fullmetal Moneymakers as well as Chun-li fom Street Fighter IV.

When we started the OSMcast!, there were a few people we knew we just had to interview. This is one of them! So we decided to finally dust off our interview from Ohayocon 10 and present to you The Life and Times of Carl Gustav Horn, Dark Horse’s most baddass manga editor. the man has worked on such titles as the manga version of Neon Genesis Evangelion, The Shinji Ikari Raising Project, Clover, and others. He talks to us on how he got started in the industry, he thoughts on the importance of buying anime and manga in the US, and more.

Spike Spencer

What’s this?! A bonus episode out of nowhere?! Say it ain’t so! You see, at MTAC Odyssey we teamed yup with the wonderful gentlemen of the Chainsaw Buffet podcast to interview Spike Spencer. Spike, has done many a role in anime and video games, but is most likely best known for doing the voice of Shinji from Neon Genesis Evangelion. And since the Chainsaw Buffet guys have already released their version of interview, we decided to use the magic of RSS feeds to let you in on the action! So if you notice the completely different opening song, that’s why.

Okay so it’s been a month between updates… again. We’d try and say we promise to  not be more like AWO in this instance… But now that they’ve started splitting up their episodes to have a different chuck each week instead of one huge update a month, we can’t even say that!  But this really should not be a problem in the foreseeable future. Sonny Strait, being awesome

This week we bring you our super-short interview with voice actor and artist Sonny Strait that we got at MTAC. He’s done many roles, like Krillin from Dragon Ball Z, Maes Hughes from Fullmetal Alchemist, Lupin the 3rd from… Lupin the 3rd,  as well as the current voice of Usopp from One Piece. On top of that he’s also done directing work for FUNimation. Oh by the way, he also has his own webcomic called Car Bombs, and worked as a penciler for Elfquest for a couple of stories.

TL,DR:  Sonny Strait is a man of many talents and he gifted us some of his time to throw some questions at him, so here they are for you to enjoy.

Protip: This was done on the spot in the Artist Alley at MTAC as the man ignored his lunch to talk to us. But due to the hustle and bustle of the con this may be an episode for the home rather than for the car.

This week we decided to kick it off with our epic-ly long interview with two of the hardest working folks in anime fandom today:  Robert and Emily DeJesus of Studio Capsule. They talked about all sorts of things with us, like what it takes to make it out there as an artist and the Best Con Slogan Ever. Did we mention Emily also is the con chair for Ohayocon? Also joining us was (I believe) Richard from Akihabara Renditions.

You know, with all of these various Internet sites (and there are actually more if you know where to look), I find it really weird someone had to write a “What ever happened to Robert DeJesus?” page. Did the idea of using Google just never come up?

Of course I’m sure that you can find out about Emily using those same sites, but I’ve heard talk that she runs an mean anime con. Hopefully when 2010 rolls around we’ll get to find out!

In a strange twist of fate, our shortest episode actually has the longest title. Go figure! At this recently past Nekocon we got the chance to chat with three awesome voice actors: Troy Baker, Aaron Dismuke, & Jerry Jewell.

Protip: Since it was the portable microphone, you’ll need to turn up the volume to hear us. But there’s not a whole lot of background noise so it’s all good.
